Antwoord Zelfopblazend Een zelfopblazende isomat heeft een kern van schuimstof die uitzet als je het ventiel opent. Zo wordt je isomat grotendeels automatisch opgeblazen. Het voordeel hiervan is dat slapen op de isomat meer lijkt op slapen op je matras thuis. Dit type isomat is wel wat zwaarder dan andere.
Antwoord Opblaasbaar Een opblaasbare isomat moet met een pompzak of een geïntegreerde pomp opgeblazen worden. Eén van beide varianten is in principe bij de levering inbegrepen. Deze isomatten hebben een klein pakvolume en een laag gewicht.
Antwoord Schuimstofmat Een schuimstofmat hoeft niet opgeblazen te worden. Ze kan opgerold of opgevouwen worden en is geschikt als isomat bij zomerse temperaturen of als extra onderlaag voor je opblaasbare of zelfopblazende isomat. De isomat weegt weinig, maar heeft wel een groot pakvolume.
