I bought this jacket 3 months ago and it is as warm and cozy and robust as promised. Absolutely loved wearing it.
Now I've washed it for the first time, using a wool program at 20° (30° would have been allowed according to the wash label) and spinning at low speed (again, following the label). I carefully pulled it into shape afterwards, mainly had to lengthen the body a bit, to match the length of the zipper. Now the jacket is dry and seems to have survived the wash well.
Except the hem. The hem is completely worn out and stretched, it's lost all shape and hangs there wobbly and wavy. It used to fit snugly, to keep cold air out. Now the jacket has the the shape of a christmas tree. I'm going to try and save it with the combined wisdom of old household forums, but I don't have a lot of hope :(
Interestingly, the sleeve cuffs are perfectly fine.
