Trekking pole tents (like Durston x-mid) require tension on the stakes in order to stand. In extremely dry and hard ground (like Greece in summer time), it's not possible to simply push stakes into the ground and they require to be hammered into the ground with, for example, a rock. As everyone knows, this is a big no-no for normal stakes made of aluminium or even some made of steel. These hard mofo stakes took absolute beatings being smashed into solid dry ground, hitting buried rocks and gravel and did not bend even slightly. Extremely impressed, absolutely worth it (especially when priced at only 12eu).
