All of them reuse the same manufacturer press images, which are optimized for web display but not for extreme zooming. No macro or detail photo of the clip mechanism is published by Robens at this time.

So the blurriness you notice when zooming in is not a Bergfreunde issue — it’s simply the only image set Robens supplies.

What material are the clips made of?

According to official Robens specifications, the construction is as follows:

- Pole shafts: Aluminium 6061
- Adjustment clips (Fast‑Clip Lock system): High‑strength reinforced plastic (polymer / nylon composite)
Internal locking hardware: metal pins and compression elements

Robens deliberately does not use aluminium clips here.

Why plastic clips instead of metal? (the deeper “why”)
