These were my first pair of red chillis and I am mighty impressed. At it's price it is one of the best options on the market.
Really really comfortable and highly adjustable with 3 velcro straps. The rubber is thick and sticky enough, similar to xs edge in my opinion, maybe a little softer. You'd think that a shoe with such thick and durable rubber would be as stiff as a plank but this is not the case. Only the tip of the shoe feels stiff and slightly unresponsive and unsensitive, but there is a lot of give at the ball of your foot so it moves with you. I personally prefer a softer shoe but it feels pretty good for what it is, I use them for training sessions where i prioritize comfort over performance. That said i have still managed to climb close to my max on these without too much issue. And they only get better over time, I found out later when i looked into my climbing shoe that there were clear indentations where my toes usually lay. This is because Red Chilli lines the toe box with leather that forms to your foot and toes over time, this creates a really snug and personalized fit.
There is not much i can fault these shoes on, they hit their mark. They are exactly what they need to be, comfortable without sacrificing too much on performance. These are used as my training shoes and my go to shoe for multipitches.
