When the summer is coming to an end, it's time to break out the cold weather attire. And, unless this is your first winter, you already know that no part of your kit is more important than your gloves. But, when a full-blown winter glove is just too much, the Pearl Izumi Thermal Conductive Gloves come into their own. Whether it's chilly mornings or overcast afternoons, these will keep your hands comfortable throughout the shoulder seasons.
These gloves employ Pearl Izumi's P.R.O. fabric, but with an added twist. Pearl included Minerale as an additive, which was chosen to improve the heat retention of the gloves. So, your digits stay warmer for longer. As with other iterations of the P.R.O. fabric, it's a polyester/spandex blend, which pairs controlled stretch with excellent breathability. Basically, this material transports moisture away from your hands to the surface of the fabric. From there, it quickly evaporates. The upshot is that your hands stay dry, which is essential for keeping them warm when the mercury is low.
Pearl built these gloves with a contoured cut that's built specifically for a hand's position while cycling. In other words, they're pre-curved to accommodate the shape that your hand makes while grabbing the handlebars. And the result is that bunching is kept to a minimum, replaced instead with a snug, close-to-skin fit. Additionally, you'll find reflective accents, which boost your visibility to motorists when the light gets low. Also, Clarino synthetic leather has been employed in high-wear areas of the palm in order to provide longevity.
The Pearl Izumi Thermal Conductive Men's Gloves are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black and Screaming Yellow.
