With their waterproof gaiter, reaching way over the ankle, they provide maximum protection. For good insulation: the 3M-Thinsulate layer with excellent heat retention properties. The shaft is breathable through all layers and prevents heat storage.
The Pumori LX Expedition boots have a well thought-out sole design with a Carbon sole as the centerpiece. It provides the required stability for the use of crampons, yet stays nice and flexible. The material is highly resistant against temperature fluctuations and does not change its properties. The Vibram outsole has a non-slip profile and a climbing zone.
Garmont added an anatomical footbed to the Pumori LX Expedition boots for a better support, which also preserves the heat thanks to an aluminum film.
